LOL!!! There are too many posts now.
He'll overlook it.. that's my bet.
Besides, he probably thinks I'm trolling. (I'm not)

I came here cuz I'm a vegetarian about to move in with a meat eater.
My knowledge of carnivorous cooking is minimal. Close to non-existant.
When I *do* cook meat, I tend to charcoal it. Most people do not like this
type of cooking.

I've found this group to be fairly helpful with suggestions on *what* to
cook but not *how* to cook it. Maybe I'm just in the wrong place.

Any guidance you could give me.. websites to point me in some direction..
anything.. would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Start a thread specifically asking for how to cook. This is a good place
for that kind of help also. Beware however. Two cooks and three
recomendations on how to cook something. ;o}

Start with a cookbook for college students. They don't _quite_ start
out by explaining what water is, and what a stove is, but they come
close. They're written for people who've never done _any_ cooking, and
don't know how to deal with complicated ingredients such as teabags and
salt.

Cookbooks for children are at a higher level, but have better pictures.

And no, I am not joking about the college student cookbooks being more
basic than the children's cookbooks.

I'm quite familiar with a variety of tea bags. Can even do the tea ball
thing, if it comes to it. Salt? No iodized salt shall pass my lips.. heh
(but I will do regular old Mortons/generic non-iodized)

How bizarre!! Thank you Dan. You've put me onto a good lead, I think.

I'm curious.. why no iodinzed salt?
Cookbooks that you might check out (www.bn.com) include
"How to Boil Water, Life beyond Takeout"
"Jacques Pepin's Simple and Healthy Cooking" as well as many other
wonderful classic books.
Since you lean to vegetarian eating, and your new SO doesn't, you might
try looking at Weight Watchers or AHA type cookbooks which often
minimize meat in dishes and stretch things with a lot of veggies.
