The stove works better, but if you don't have a functional stove, the MW works. It's really the same, heat the water to boiling and then add the pasta. Cook the regular time. As someone else posted, watch for boilovers. Don't fill your container too full, and watch it while the pasta cooks, at least until you are used to the process.
