Default Breakfast in L.A.

The New York Times Style Magazine has a lot of high-end kitchen-related
stuff this morning. And a piece about people's favorite places to eat
breakfast in L.A. It's cute enough, but how they could omit Phillipe's
is beyond me. Phillipe's has real biscuits, coffee for 11 cents, and
they automatically put the bowl of fresh salsa up on the counter when
they serve you your eggs. -aem

Yup, that's the place. Good baked apples, too. You don't know if
you'll share a table with a postal worker, a business person, or a
street person. On Alameda a block or so up from Union Station. -aem

There's a fantastic hash house on PCH in Seal Beach. I don't remember the
name of it, other than that "hash house" was part of the name. Excellent
prices, excellent food, open 24 hours, and GIGANTIC portions, especially of
potatoes.

Thats a great site. I bookmarked it. I didn't recognize ANY of those places
but it's a good reference to have. Fair critiques and well written.

Maybe they'll expand the Taco Hunt into Orange County!??

Thanks,

Andy
