Maddie is a purebred shar pei. I got her from a rescue shelter. She cames with
all kinds of papers and receipts and things. She has one male relative that
shows up a number of times on both sides of her family tree and she cost her
original owners $1200 which seems like a rather large sum of money to put out
for something you're just going to abuse and neglect.

Ghengis was a super cute puppy, a total ham and a cuddler. He was a
dachshund/shar pei mix.

My girlfriend has two cats that will be moving into my house when my

They're brother and sister. The white one is the female; her name is
"Domino," because on her hidden side she's got a round black spot that makes
her look like a domino. The black one's name is "Lucky," he was the runt of
the litter. He's a VERY friendly cat; if you're sitting on the couch he'll
jump up onto the couch's arm and just start purring away.

The two cats like to curl up together on the couch, making a kind of
yin-yang image; I just never had a camera in my hand when I saw them doing
it.

Well bugger me! So *that's* what those things are -- a bloody "cat
tree"! (The local pet shop has one out on the footpath most days.
I've often wondered what the hell it was used for. 8-)

In somewhat similar design, I saw a 4x4 in town some time ago (clearly
about to attempt "doing the Cape" -- an Australian pilgrimage of
eating dust for days travelling up Cape York Peninsula and back) with
a "cat rack" fitted to the dash between driver and passenger: a small
bench with a bit of carpet covering that the cat was clearly happy to
travel on and look out at the scenery through the windscreen.

Thank you. It is doing my heart good to look at dogs and search out the best
ones for our situation. Maddie definitely needs a buddy, she's getting lonely
during the day and is almost frantic when I get home.
