You think you've seen Sheldon's picture? There is one on the rfc site
captioned "The Sheldon." When do you think it was taken? -aem

I was 45 in that picture... my only reservation to posting it was how I
was wearing that faggy pink striped shirt, but that was considered
stylish then.

When I was like twelve years old pink shirts were stylish then too,
with powder blue pegged, pleated, and saddle stitched seam pants... and
those skinny belts, charcoal grey with a pink pinstripe.... and Thom
McCann saddle shoes with red knobby soles... and side parted hair all
stiff from Hopalong Cassidy hair trainer.

Based on my previous 'guess' and your comments, I'm gonna say about 65,
give or take a couple years. How close am I :-) :-) :-) Do I win the
$50 prize?

I can't speak for Sheldon, but pink pants were a hot item for boys in
Western Nevada in 1953. I was seven. I haven't seen pink since as
mainstream popular for boys. On the other hand, I don't pay attention.
You ought have seen us in around '56 with our buckled fake leather
motorcycle jackets. We looked sharp!
There was also a coonskin cap and Civil War hat period around that time.
What would we have worn without Disney.

ObFood: We had toad-in-the-hole with sausage gravy tonight. I didn't use
bangers, but British people in another group once told me that American
breakfast sausage imitates bangers somewhat.

awww come on... you're no spring chicken yourself.
I thought his picture on the web page showed a cute albeit a younger man.
The pictures people send in are interesting...yet easy to find fault
with each and every one of 'em if one is inclined? Bad hair, wrinkles,
fat, bad taste in clothes or style.. whatever.
Lets not get into some insulting match over appearances, shall we?

I'm 63, and when wearing a hat can pass for 39... I don't dye or use
any other enhancements. I have all my own teeth, and a thick mop of
hair... notice how my hair style detractors have none! LOL

It's got nothing to do with age. It helps cover the lobotomy scars.

I don't think anyone would have a problem figuring out my age... I
certainly gave more than enough clues over the years.

Naa, just implying you probably have kids my age & I'm not all that
young. :-)

> Post your picture so I can see if there's a resemblance. LOL

Baw Haw. Nope. My dad is a short balding Norwegian. Looks his age
too. My mom OTOH, is like me, we look 10 years younger than our actual
age. People always guess me in my 20's, espeically considering I have
young kidlets & not pre-teens like most who are my age.

I've been considering posting a pic though, just can't decide on which
one.
