You might be able to google for recipes. I don't have any but remember these are fairly easy to prepare. |

![]() Just back from 5 years Thailand . Asians have no respect for human life , poison millions with formaldehyde and MSG and dog dodo and gasolene in food .... All stores in BKK had one isle totally dedicated to MSG ( PONGSHUROT) Westerners dont spend much money on Asian cooking , tastes bad . So , i'll advise about the 2 types of Soy Sauce . One i saw in BKK costs 80 cents a liter ! Its similar to MSG , it uses hydrolysed yeast . Tastes very salty The other is like Kikomans , it is real Soy sauce , its expensive and its distilled . best use this type on westerners . Thai cooking is a mystery , til you live and eat there ! Thai food in the USA is not at all Thai ! It would be impossible to eat Thai food , here ! Thai food is all oil cooked lean pork , fish ,prawns , rice , eggs , cabbage etc garlic is more common that onion ( garlic and onions are very low cost in BKK ) . But Chineese Thai's ( white skinned types) are better cooks . Food appearance is what matters , not flavor . Bangkok is the worst , travel east on Teparak road to the factory villages ( BangPlee ) and get cleaner food and so low cost ! GWeTEaO MU ( Pork , rice noodle soup ) for 25 cents !! Rice noodles have no flavor ( They dont refrig meat , it hangs in glass cases with the SeN LeK ( thin rice noodles , SeN YI , wide noodle ) and MaKUaTeT ( Tomatoes) and (TeNGKWa) light skinned cucumbers . Strips of red pork , very popular . Fish balls ( no flavor, "LUK GEEN PLa ) , or LUK GEEN KUNG ( prawn) Thais can't taste food , hate tomato , especially tomate sauce on pizza's , you can buy a good tasting pizza in Thailand . Pizza hut told me they would be out of bus' if they put real pizza tomato sauce on ... People who eat hot peppers cant taste food . Their minds are craving glucose , cant figure what works , the small entestine cant assimilate glucose easily . people who digest lactose and cheese easily , are less likely to eat hot peppers , for they can get glucose from many foods . ive tested this many times . I will drink some half & half and for weeks i'll have lots of brain sugar and energy and feel very relaxed . Eat some halapenos and kill all the LAB in the intestines and start to crave more food . More because the glucose yield is much lower . LacticAcidBacteria is very good in your intestines . it is part of the natural "flora" . Hot peppers kill LAB . ![]() Thais cant understand why the west has peda what evers . But its tourist , so they sell to the tourist , anything you want . They dont have a problem with that , there is no law to tell them not to do it . The govt does rattle its blue sword a bit and shut down nude places and liquor past 2am , but its only the owners who are not govt officials who are shut down . You can do anything if you are a general or a police chief . Our govt sometimes releases press . Like : we need a dept of drugs and corruption and prostitution . They dont understand , we say that , but it would have to be reworded to be correct . So if you are east of "10 downing " st , ( presidents house ) you will see a govt building with the most encredible wording . Something like " The office that fights govt theft and drug peddling " Does that sound like a govt admission of guilt , a Fruedian slip , or what !! Actually , thai police dont sell drugs like US cops do , they make little pay and very little "extra" money . They are really easy to deal with . They will not take you in for possesion . Give them a "tip" of $5 and they will smile and wave as you depart . I thought i might retire to Asia . Big mistake . Mexico is far easier . And Mexican police are really nice people , unless you get on the wrong side of a higher up cop . But thats really hard to do . Actually i had 2 things i wanted to do in 2000 . I wanted to see if Asian ladys were less "arguement" than western . Bad idea ! They are just as spoiled . So i dropped idea of marrying Asian . Food is bad , lest ya cook it yourself . I would buy 2 kilos of Cashews for $15 ( In China twn 10kilo = $52 ) but quality is worse than here . 70cents kilo for onions , $1 kilo for mushrooms , Green peppers were $2 kilo , but only at PaK KloNG DaLaT , near the River and the flower mkt and BaNMo and S. of the Wat PraKeaO Bus 73 or 8 , or Underground to HUaLaMPoNG , then SW to river Or back east on Rama 4 til you see 73 goin S on JeLeRNPON he then turns W on Rama 4 . But the river taxi is a garantee never to be held up in ROTDiT ( jam ) I have spent 2 hours on bus 8 near JaTaJaK park ! I buy cheese at FoodLand on LatPraO , but they put formaldehyde in the very good Australian cheddar ! I had a fight with the manager after he claimed it was OZ that did it ! Thais put salt in limeaide . They dont know how to cook . You always make lemonaide with pancake syrup , not white sugar and it has a bit of salt in it , like when ya start making butterscotch .. So they figured wrong that too much salt will work good . DUMB ! Asians have a congenital defect , they cant get glucose as well as westerners , from carbs . 99% can't get brain sugar ( Lactose ) So they crave anything that will up their sugar , nothing works but desperate ppl will even eat hot peppers , use fish sauce and vinegar and cook with wine ( its vinegar , only mo $$$ ) . The brain will remember anything that raises glucose , but as i said they cant find it , so they cant taste good food as westerners can . spagheti sauce ? They hate tomatoes ! They can't taste onions they cant taste cheese , they cant taste carbs ! like sourdough Americans and Italians and French and Mexicans , Spanish et al can taste food , thus good cooks . Asians can not cook . They cant taste lemon , thus thus use lemon grass and bitter lime , because they tasted same as when they tasted lemon in Miami . They eat hot peppers because they cant taste food ! Those who get the greatest satisfaction from food and flavors do NOT eat hot peppers , nor vinegar , nor many of the spices used today , for they cover the good flavor . Hot peppers cover . they cant apprreciate cheese .
