10 quart stock pot
I was in my local restaurant supply store picking up the usual things I
need for the holidays (sheets of parchment, large sizes of baking ingredients, etc.) and it turns out they have their annual kitchen sale this month. Lots of huge kitchen pots, pans, implements and consumables on sale. I was looking at the 10-quart stock pot, since mine is a cheapo thin stainless one. This one's aluminum, and a decent thickness by comparison (thicker than say, calphalon, but thinner than my old cast iron pans) and made in Korea. At $15, anyone have comments on this? (silly question. this is usenet. everyone has a comment<G>) maxine in ri |

I've got a cheapo thin/lightweight one too. I think I bought it at Penney's maybe 20 years ago. It mostly works OK but tends to scorch things that end up lying on the bottom. It has become my spaghetti/pasta pot. For $15, I'd grab it in a second. |
