All told is a funny thing when you're talking about renovation.
You never know what All told is until it's done. You know that,
you've done this before, right? Rule of thumb, take the estimate
and the time planned and double both.

I think a good compromise might start with the super expensive
fixture, what makes it that special? Can't it be changed later if you
decide you just have to have it?

I spent under $20G, but I underspent. $50G sounds not super extravagant.
But if it winds up doubling ... ouch.
