It is a home version of commercial vac tumblers, and it does a fairly good
job of marinading meat. I use my Tilia to do the same basic thing, but
vac-tumblers are better. I suppose if someone does a lot of marinading --
including jerky -- this would be a good gadget.

Tilia FoodSavers have a container and hookup gizmo for marinating meats.

Similar, but not quite the same. This unit also tumbles, which is
a process used by commercial producers.

If it weren't so limited in capacity (5 lbs), I'd be
tempted to try it.
