" A commercial vacuum pump creates an incredible level of marinade
absorption as it pulls air out from the barrel, tumbles and stretches the food's fibers, drawing marinades to the core of your food. " http://www.skymall.com/shopping/deta...669337&c=10475 Dawn |

I use my Tilia to do the same basic thing, but vac-tumblers are better. I suppose if someone does a lot of marinading -- including jerky -- this would be a good gadget. -- Dave www.davebbq.com |

Similar, but not quite the same. This unit also tumbles, which is a process used by commercial producers. If it weren't so limited in capacity (5 lbs), I'd be tempted to try it. -- Reg |
