Cherry Mash Changes Recipe For First Time In More Than 30 Years

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- For the first time in more than 30 years, the
Midwestern candy bar staple Cherry Mash is changing its recipe.

Chase Candy Co., the St. Joseph-based firm that has churned out the
confection of cherry fondant cream surrounded by chocolate and peanuts
since 1918, is selling two new versions that replace the cherry center
with chocolate and vanilla.
