At least you can use them for something. They aren't useful for serving
as mashed potatoes...

As I've mentioned before, we used to have the instant ones a lot when I
was a kid. Anyone who thinks making mashed potatoes from scratch for a
family of ten big eaters is a simple chore is crazy, let alone the time
factor.

I totally get that! I rarely ever need to make more potatoes than for
myself and my daughter...Mr Raven and the baby don't like them...
