I've never made it, but I've eaten it and it tastes pretty good. I don't understand people and Jello, I guess. Here's one of my favorites, and if I make it for the family, they make fun of me and then clean it all up. Lime Jello Salad Put 16 big marshmallows and 1 C. milk into top of double boiler over simmering water. Stir until the marshmallows are melted and incorporated into the milk. Sprinkle 1 small package of lime Jello into the hot mixture, and stir until dissolved. Add 2, 3-oz. pkg. of cream cheese, cut into small bits. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and mixed in. You might have to remove the mixture from the stove to prevent burning. Add in one # 2 can of crushed pineapple WITH juice. Mix 1 C. whipping cream, whipped (use Cool Whip, if you want, it will be more stable) and 2/3 C. mayonnaise. Mix all together and chill until firm. Cut into squares and serve. N. |
