I found this great new product called Chefmate that instantly removes
food odor from your hands. It doesn't contain alcohol, chlorine or
detergents that irritate your skin. It's also non-toxic and evironment
friendly. It really works!!! I used it the other day after cooking
salmon for my date. First I tried regular antibacterial soap to get
the fish smell out, and it worked, but only for about 15 minutes.
Then, I tried Chefmate and the smell was gone. It doesn't just mask
the odor, it eliminates it. The best product for food odor on your

I've had fishy fingers from dates too, but I didn't want to wash it

Dawn, you obviously don't cook fish. After handling fish, your hands
smell; just like cutting an onion. Go cut an onion and try to get the
smell off your hands with regular soap. Smart ass. Then sit down with
mommy and do your homework before she reads you a bedtime story. Don't
forget to brush your teeth, if you have any yet.

Not if you're using fresh fish, they don't. You might want to try
another seafood source.

FYI, fish shouldn't stink or leave any appreciable odor on your hands that
plain soap and water won't take care of.

Unfortunately, "I found this...." is usually said by people who have
undisclosed interests. That is, they haven't just happened to find a

On the contrary, I cook fish weekly. Fresh fish. From the ocean and
everything. I don't buy fish that stinks. Any residual smell comes off
with soap and water.

Sink yes........ taps, not so sure.

If they are, I don't think they'd be of the same 'quality' as the s/s soap.
