That's delightfully sick!

Twisted.

Warped.

This should tie up the list for awhile.......

I'll bet Saddam was all choked up over it.

Has anyone told you you're a very sick person, nb?
If not, let me be the first. Yes, you're warped too.

We like you anyway.

Yeah, old news. My first nickname (ascribed) was the ghoul.

Sorry, but their son, at his age, probably needs a Darwin award. :-(

It's most likely too late.

Either that or have him join the Marines and train him to be a sniper.
That way his murderous bent can be beneficial.

And she *says* that she works in healthcare...
Possibly ALL of her medical advise (that she so freely dispenses here) is
just as medically correct?

Om works in a lab as a medical tech, not in any capacity to be
dispensing medical advice. That doesn't mean people who work in
hospitals ancillary services like the lab don't hear and pick up tidbits
of information, they just have no training in interpreting or acting on
what they hear or see.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I've only noticed Om giving
the kind of advice that any friend who reads health magazines or pays
attention to the 6 o'clock news would give.

Thanks sf.

I try to be cautious. ;-)

It's famous for nurses to disrespect lab techs, so I just blow it off.
RN's think they know it all and most of them know dick about lab tests.

It's not in their training. Or not much anyway.

I have a 4 year BS degree, just like she does. Most nurses think that
all lab techs are street trained.

I disagree. I think most nurses appreciate lab techs and their abilities
in the lab. Yet again, as I am friends with many of the lab
technologists and techs at work, I know they aren't expected nor
educated to interpret lab results, and nothing in their job requires
them to act on their results.
Nurses are required to act on the results you provide. Your ability to
perform the tests in a timely fashion and report the results back to me
for my own practice is vital, and I count on my lab folks dearly. Nurses
also have ongoing continuing education throughout their career in
interpreting and acting on labs results, as well as how to properly
obtain the best specimens for the most accurate results. It is in my
scope of practice, not the scope of practice for unlicensed personnel in
ancillary services.
If you want to be a Nurse Om, go back to school. We need more nurses.
