Why did you say that? Sure, spanakopita is usually made in a pan and
cut into diamond shapes and I call what was posted tiropita. However,
it has other names too..... and spanakopita is common.

In my experience, spanakopita has usually been wrapped in a
rectangular shape. Tiropittes are usually wrapped in a triangular
shape. Perhaps you are thinking of baklava.

No, I'm not thinking of baklava. I used to make a combination of that
and the "cigar" shaped ones (don't remember the name) and they were
fabulous, IMO. <they were back of the box recipes> The tyropita
recipe (appetizer sized) I know about was touted for years on public
tv by a local Greek heritage society. In any case, no matter what the
"real" name is - I absolutely love it.

Chill, Steve.... sheesh. If the blog was off topic I'd be with you,
but fer heaven's sake... the recipe looked good and it had pictures to
boot. So what if it's a blog? I didn't think the post was off base
and I hope Ben decides to join us as a *real* contributor to rfc,
because thoughts and opinions about food is our core.

Thanks sf for your comments. I just want to share some recipes I learned
from the community kitchen and friends of multi cultural background. I'm
not here to offend anyone.

Let me make this perfectly clear, Steve.... had the link been to a
food related chain of thoughts (food ramble), I would have agreed with
you, but the url went to a recipe. So what if the recipe is part of a
blog? I'm not a blog convert due to that post... but IMO, it was on
topic. Hopefully someone who can cook like that will decide to stay
and contribute more than "links to a blog".

Suzanne.... You will be a wonderful contributor to rfc. Please stay.
If you want to provide a link to your blog, put it in your sig...
better yet, don't mention it until you have a recipe you want to refer
to. Serene does a very nice balance of her blog and rfc. She doesn't
push it - but when there is something she wants to refer to, she posts
a link (like the no knead bread).
