Looks absolutely delicious.

But you really need to get some new plates.

You dont buy new plates til the youngest is old enough to not break them :P
Unless your me and weird.. I bought all new plates from walmart.. but they
only match because they are the same style. 2 differant colors though.

I agree. I find those plates distracting from the good looking food.
Did you have any veggies with that meal, Sheldon? No, the olive in your
martini doesn't count... lol

I always had nice dishes. Kids never broke any more than I might have
myself. I skeeve plastic cups and ugly dishes that some folks use
because "we have kids". Heck, if you break enough it warrants a pretty
new set and the odd leftovers from the last set are perfect for the kids
as who cares if they break 'em?

Looks delicious! I have a 4 lb. chuck roast in the freezer; might have to
break that out this weekend. Speaking of freezers (heh) west TN got hit
with sleet and freezing rain in the wee hours this morning. According to
the radio traffic on the Interstates in and around the Memphis area is at a
crawl and the police have closed the Memphis/Arkansas bridges because they
are iced over. Thank goodness I don't have to go anywhere!

Next time, instead of pizza. It's actually easier to pan fry a steak
than to bake a pizza. Slicing and annointing the potatoes required
more effort, and required an hour and a half in the oven. The steak
only needed about ten minutes each side, and as anyone can see no
fancy schmancy cookware is required, an ordinary ancient Farberware
works fine. And I have more than enough left over to do it again
tonight. I was originally planning on grilling it outside on the
Weber but it was so nice an cozy indoors compared with the 15F and
windy. But still no snow here.

Hello Sheldon:

> A 3 1/2 lb slab of beautiful top round:

Nice clear food photography. The first photograph shows that quanty of
spices you use to be moderate. What spice is on this steak?

The second photograph shows a fine fond developing in the pan. I expect
you made a sauce for this dish, though the third, presentation,
photograph showed no sauce. I would be interested if you would describe
the sauce.

Nice food, Sheldon, thanks.

Yeah and it would have been an option if we had steak :-P We where given 2
pizzas yesterday and so we cooked them. I never had a pizza with so little
flavor. I guess thats why they gave them to us.. lol

We might get a grill by summer. We are done with the apartment living now
and we dont have to worry about the other neighbors using up our gas now.

>But still no snow here.

We have plenty here.. none fell last night that I can tell.. but there is
enough to say it is winter.

Looks delish, Sheldon! Do you use anything to season the taters? I think I detect
some pepper on them?
What else?

Black pepper, a little salt, and rubbed with sunflower oil... baked in
a pan at 400?F for a little over an hour... turn potatoes about
halfway through.

Your replies to me are weak, feeble, and just plain pathetic. Much
like you in real life, I'm sure.
