What do you mean you got sick? Do you mean diarrhea, abdominal
cramps, fever? These can have many, many different causes. I
know that in severe cases salmonella can spread from the guts to
the blood but it's unlikely it went the other direction, unless
you omitted a hospitalization from your account.

probably wasn't the chicken juice

did you have any local signs of infection (redness, swelling, pain,
oozing pus, etc)?
