Looks like another beggar's website for profit linking books to buy from
amazon.

Unprofessional.

AVOID.

Buy direct from Amazon.

Never buy a book from Amazon without checking Powells.com first.
Support one of the last of the great independent bookstores. Often
better prices, and they'll tell you when they have used copies at
lower prices. -aem

I thought the entry page with the same link listed six different ways was
very amateurish. That and tying your sponsors links to zero-pixel graphics
at the same time just screams greed.

You're just a beggar for Amazon kickbacks and that's all. There's a sucker
born every minute, just hard to find them here at r.f.c.

You just mirror Amazon's data. You probably didn't even actually write any
reviews. You don't have a forum, so there's absolutely no participation for
visitors.

You lazy, greedy BUM!!! We know it and you know it.

Have a nice day.

aem,

Thanks! I'll give them a try next time I order. That rings a faint bell in
the back of my mind.

What a load of twaddle. The affiliate program is sponsored by Amazon,
it's their idea and they like it. I use it on my web page for my own
books. The amount of money you make is trivial, but it's nice to offer
people a "buy" link from your own web site. It is perfectly
professional.

My bet is that Andy tried to set this up for himself and couldn't figure
out how.

Even better,
www.abebooks.com. They link to hundreds of independent
booksellers so you can shop by price, edition, condition, etc. Easy
ordering, great site.

Peter, you've just cost me a boatload of money. This site is dangerous,
folks, DANGEROUS. Warning! Warning!! I've already "spent" 50 bucks in
fewer than 5 minutes!!!

Oooh, you sound really upset..
I don't really appreciate being called, a lazy, selfish bum (which means
somethong quite different over here!) either. I don't think there's any need
for that.

FYI I've read all the books on my site, try comparing Amazon's edited
reviews to mine before making hollow accusations....I wouldn't say my
negative review of Elizabeth David's book "Meditteranean Food" was trying to
get you to buy her book.....I have a collection of over 300 to get through
and your comments won't stop me indulging in my hobby.....a hobby supported
by miniscule commissions from a major international corporation, which helps
me pay for my broadband and hosting fees, I see nothing wrong with that, I
got the idea from other sites similar to mine and I'm more than happy to
support them by taking 3% away from Amazon and giving it to them.

As for not having a forum, why would you need one when you can post comments
direct in to the page (review) without even registering ..I would call that
pretty open visitor participation, or did you not really look at my site
before thrusting upon this group your prejudicial comments?

Please get your facts right before launching into your bitter tirades, I
look forward to seeing your considered and constructive comments on the
books I have reviewed on my site very soon..as know doubt you are a fellow
food lover, as am I???

Winston

P.S. my site may appear amateurish because I am an amateur...you are exactly
right on that, I don't even know what "tying your sponsors links to
zero-pixel graphics" means!

P.P.S. I really hope you have a nice day too.......now I'm gonna eat some
octopus.

That's not a bell, that's a thought reverberating off of the empty
shell of your cranium.

Then I suppose your mother wouldn't like me to say that I bought the
book months ago after hearing an NPR interview and was unimpressed.
