Toasted bagel, boiled egg, an orange, meds and a glass of skim milk.

Ever heard of bacon and eggs....... or maybe a couple of microwaved poached
eggs on toasted grain bread?

Shredded wheat with half a banana sliced on top, demerera sugar, lattee
and one piece multigrain breaded toasted with honey.

We don't have a *** celebration like in Sydney. It's more a reflection of
New Orleans decacdence.

When you have to work for a living, most "real" cooking is done on
weekends. ;-)

I had leftover fried chicken and dad had leftover steamed cabbage and
grilled pork steaks.

I will make a pot of fresh rice tomorrow and do something more
interesting with some of the pork in the freezer...... maybe. <G>

Why do you reflect on the decadence of New Orleans? You're a fair way
away from them, aren't you?

Take 2 smallish coffee *cups* (like the ones you get in a cafe when you
order a cappuccino/flat white) spray with some oil. I sprinkle some
cracked black pepper on the oil. Crack an egg into each cup. Get a sharp
knife and carefully pierce the yolk. Place on an upturned plate in the
microwave. Cover both cups with wettened paper towel. Nuke for 1min
40secs on High if you like your eggs hard, or 1min 10secs if you like
them a bit runny.

At the same time you do all that, do your toast.

Breakfast is cooked in less under 2 mins.

It gives me a chance to sit down with 'she who works' before she has to
head off for the day.

I used to do the whole stove top thing, but it was a PITA to time it so
that it was done right when she had finished doing her hair, and
applying the makeup etc!!

The nuke'em way is low fat, fast, and tasty.

Why?

For several reasons!

One... I've been there for Mardi Gras and from what they tell me I had a
great time!

Two... the N'Awlins folks admit it's decadent! A treasured chest of customs
that shall not be questioned.

Three, where else on the planet can you "drive-thru" a to-go white-
lightening cocktail?

And

Four... Beignet

Pity! I was thinking of coming to Philly.

I'm sick of Russell Island, I'm thinking of moving to Sydney because of
the vibrant *** scene there. I was engaged for a while, but that's all
fallen apart because of my news postings. Too bad. And she wanted me to
get a job! ROFLMAO!!! That'll be the day!!!

I couldn't care less, and that wasn't the point. Christmas isn't the
most holy holiday in Christianity, anyway.

You didn't answer the question,

So you, Nancy, personally equate the Mardi Gras in New Orleans to
Christs' 'birthday' in Bethlehem, and Christmas celebrations in
general???

YES/NO

It's quite simple, really. Choose one of the above.

Sure, they are the same to me. Which has zip to do with people
outside of New Orleans celebrating the last day before Lent.
