Hi all,
I am new on this site, just joined. I'm from England, a single parent of three kids and divorced. I love cooking and swapping recipes from all over the world. My favourite cuisines are Moroccan, Spanish, Italian, some American and Japanese. I thrive and live off fruit smoothies. This is a healthy pick me up when I'm feeling rather lethargic or just generally tired. If it's chilled beforehand it tastes even better! The only things I dislike is prunes, dates, figs, bamboo shoots and pickles. I hope I will enjoy being a part of this group! Sizzler. |

Welcome, sizzler. I for one, promise not to post any recipes that include bamboo shoots, pickles and prunes. Hmmmm. ;-) David |

I'm in Barnsley. This is a really great group for all sorts of advice (some of it a little uncalled for! ; ) ) Most are really friendly and extremely helpful especially with UK/USA conversions and what to use if products are not available here in UK. Google for Barbs rhubarb custard cake if you want to try something really terific and unusual for the UK! The group is also really endertaining at times, and I find myself checking in several times a day! The RFC web site is also a great source of info, both about cooking and personal. Also the cdhat channel is very popular, but having a 5 year old, I rarely get the chance to log in! I don't feel I'm in a position to say 'welcome', as I'm not a great contributor but the regulars are so great I'm sure they won't mind me extending the thoughts! Sarah |

Hi Sarah,
I'm from Bournemouth, Dorset near the seaside and nice clean sea air. I like unusual foods sometimes and I find cuisines from around the world very interesting. sizzler. Don't worry, it shouldn't effect your cooking. > I love > cooking and swapping recipes from all over the world. Lemme know if you like American Peanut Butter Pinwheels! I've got that covered. > My favourite cuisines are Moroccan, Spanish, Italian, some American > and Japanese. I thrive and live off fruit smoothies. Tell us more of this nectar you thrive from... Do the juices in it come from concentrate? if they do, you are going to be gray headed way before your time. > This is a > healthy pick me up when I'm feeling rather lethargic or just generally > tired. If it's chilled beforehand it tastes even better! Tell me what's in it, Ill let you know if it's healthy. > The only things I dislike is prunes, dates, figs, bamboo shoots and > pickles. What's wrong with a good crispy pickle? > I hope I will enjoy being a part of this group! What are you like 5 years old or something? haha, just kidding. > Sizzler. Barry |

My favourite take out food is chinese, but I don't eat much take out at all. I live with my husband Gary and young son. Gary has so far lost 3 stone since May, and so most of our meals have a healthy slant to them, (low fat and plenty of vegetables), Son is a picky eater and mainly eats meat and bread ( I try and bake my own a couple of times a week). I must admit I prefer baking to cooking when it comes to leisure time. At the moment I work nights (I'm a nurse) and so we eat well when I'm week off, and not so well the week I'm working! I usually bake something experimental to take to work on the Monday night, mainly with good results. Cheese cakes are a favourite, and a little unwelcome at home at the moment! I'm considering an Oreo cheese cake for Monday night, but my mind isn't made up yet. Sarah |
