Default last minute deserts?

I've been asked to provide dessert at the last minute.. tonight. I've
got about two hours. Have all the basics on hand, flour, sugar,
chocolate, nuts, etc.... and some things like boxed pudding and canned
cherries. I've got an orange. Half a bag of frozen blueberries. A pint
of cream. Normally I'd throw together a peach cobbler, but I'm all out
of peaches...

Suggestion very welcome. I'm going to go browse the web for ideas....

bake brownies!

If you want to get fancy, use tyour brownie mix but bake in 2 9-inch
cake pans (or in a 9x13, then cut it in half to form 2 equal parts.).
Cool then top with pudding or whipped cream and then used your canned
cherries. Add the other layer of brownie. Shave choc over the top, add
nuts, and VOILA! you've got black forest torte.

Here, dessert doesn't have to be a murder weapon. Guests are amazed by a
big, pretty bowl containing orange pieces, ruby red grapefuit pieces, halved
strawberries, mango pieces, pineapple, melon, etc.

The "etc." does NOT include apples. It also does not include any sort of
creamy crappy "dressing", popular with people whose fat asses flow off their
chairs like risen bread dough dumped out of its bowl.

Let's stop by the deli.

Telling us you have three grape nuts....peanut butter ....and soy milk
does not make dessert.

My suggestion is to say "Sorry, but I don't have time with so little
notice", or stop at a bakery.

Dawn - You've probably already left to your dinner, but I'd suggest
going ahead and making that cobbler. But instead of peaches (which
you don't have), I'd subsitute with the frozen blueberries, and canned
cherries.
