Default Bread Crumbs in Lemon Pie Filling

I posted an inquiry here late in December asking if anyone knew why the
recipe called for them * what purpose did they serve. I also called
Lynn Rosetto Kasper of National Public Radio's "The Splendid Table"
program and asked her. FWIW, our conversation about it will be part of
this weekend's broadcast. It's available as a podcast, too. The Q&A
part of her show is in the second half of the hour.

Woo-hoo!

Oh I can hardly wait. I get her podcast since her show is broadcast
here when I'm always doing something else. Now I'll be able to have
Barb's voice on my computer! Kasper is just so smart about food. Her
podcasts from Italy were awesome (and often touching). The only thing I
don't like about her show is when Chris Kimball is on for that weird bit
on how to make a meal for the weird ingredients in your refrigerator. I
don't like the way he treats Lynn; he makes fun of her.

I know when it's on in MN; I have no clue when (or IF) it's carried on
the public radio station where you are. If you want it as a podcast,
you can subscribe to The Splendid Table podcast here. They used to do
only the Q&A, now you can get the entire show.

It's an interesting answer she provides. :-0)

How many "moments of fame" have you had now? Haven't you reached your
15 minute quota yet? ;;<<

(it means wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Oh, heck yes!! I was on a big national NPR thang 11 years ago when my
Peach Raspberry Jam was introduced and have been in and done boatloads
of promotional appearances and newspaper articles not to MENTION my
singing commercial when the PR jam came out. <vbseg>

Fame I've got covered; I'm still waiting for rich. Just remember,
Bucko. Every time you buy a jar of that cherry jam, I get half a cent.

You can sleep until 6:30 a.m. or a couple minutes later even. :-)
My piece is on at about 41 minutes into the show - maybe a couple later,
but that should be safe.
