Breadmachine osteoarthritis
Or something. It's still mixing, but making a metallic grinding noise
for half of every blade turn. Is it stripping gears, slipping a belt or what? Do they need a periodic lube job? And will it get worse or do I just live with the grinding noise? Only use it for mixing small batches of pizza dough, so no great loss. I've got a mixer and there's always the well method. Mechanically curious! |

It's about 10 years old. We have a newer Toastmaster that's much quieter but only has a single paddle. I prefer the noisy one. I just use it in the laundry room so the noise isn't a problem. Lou |
