Default Pigweed soup (to enjoy the spring)

As the spring has come the markets are invaded with all these green
plants. A preferred of mine is the pigweed soup which is very simple
to make.

Here it is with some photos: http://www.len.ro/cooking/pigweed-loboda-soup/

Ingredients

* 2-3 bundles of pigweed grass
* a small onion and some garlic
* rice (just a bit)
* a bit of parsley

Preparation

* Start by washing the pigweed with lots of water to remove all
dirt

Pigweed (lobodă)

* Remove the stalk of each leaf and cut the leafs

Pigweed (lobodă)

* Cut the onion
* Cut the garlic and parsley
* Brown the onion and the pigweed with some oil for 5 minutes

Pigweed (lobodă), onion

* Add the water, rice and the browned pigweed and let it boil for
30-45 minutes until the rice is cooked
* 5 minutes before the end add the garlic
* just at the end add the minced parsley

Pigweed (lobodă) soup

* enjoy.

Surely not poisonous, as I am eating since ever in the spring this
type of soup. Tasty and good cold also.
