Even most of Nigella's "new show" is old stuff reshuffled from her old Style Channel show. There's very little on FudTeeVee that can pull me away from the thrill of cleaning the mold off the shower grout. My two PBS channels are back to being the place to be for cooking shows and more are showing up all the time in their programming....REAL cooking shows. I doubt if FudTeeVee gets watched 2 hours a week at the very most around here anymore. Val |

![]() "Gregory Morrow" > wrote in message news ![]() > Does *anyone* watch the crap on Food TeeVee anymore...??? Yes. I watch mostly on the weekends, although I do sometimes catch Thiry Minute Meals on a weekday. I watch Rachael, Giada, Ellie and Nigella for the most part, avoiding with impunity anything involving Bobby Flay, Ina Garten or Tyler Florence. Ditto for Paula Deen. > -- > Best > Greg > > > "Ubiquitous" > wrote in message > ... >> Sandra's throwing a romantic anniversary celebration featuring Herb > Roasted >> Pork with Honey Dijon Mustard that's dotted with tiny white pearl onions > and >> served alongside a French Green Bean Salad dressed in Truffle Cream and > Wild >> Rice Pilaf. >> >> AIR TIMES: >> May 05, 2007 11:00 AM ET/PT >> May 07, 2007 5:30 PM ET/PT >> May 14, 2007 12:30 PM ET/PT >> >> -- >> "Bunny's ability to take ingredients that I love and put them together >> into something stomach wrenching is unparalleled." -- bookwirm >> > > |

Neither are great, but passable. I sometimes run through the daytime stuff in the online guide and record a Molto Mario or Boy Meets Grill that I might not have seen. We rubberneck that show for s**ts and giggles. She's developed an amazing facility to talk at the three-year-old level about nothing substantive, chop away without cutting herself (I remember fondly the Monty Python spoof about Julia), yet still remain on point about the cattle food she's preparing for the tug boat crew. And this, from today's NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/25/dining/25rach.html Anyone that's seen a smidgen of porn (not me of course) will recognize the production values in each of these programs. And how the sounds of cooking are amplified. yes ...Yes! ... YES!!! And Emerill ... <save me> He got plenty fat, didn't he? Now I wonder why...? Topo |

I also didn't know Uncle Ben made a wild rice pilaf. There are also several brands of canned French green beans, but does Kraft make a truffle cream? I haven't seen that one yet. |

I'm picturing a jar of cocktail onions like you'd put in a Gibson studded onto the port roast with toothpicks and sticking out like whiteheads. If she'd shitcan the rest of the menu and the pineapple, maple syrup, marshmallow martini, and join me for a Gibson, I might go for it. |

I love to see what the people cooking are doing. I just like the channel. I guess alot of people do or it wouldn't be on. I guess a lot of people do here or they wouldn't have anything to gripe about. I enjoy everything about it. I can turn it on at any time and watch as a matter of fact when my hubby leaves the room he turns it to the food channel before leaving (yes he gives me the remote too). It's a very good channel. |
