A few weeks ago I made a pork roast, and froze the leftovers.
This week I thawed the pork, made BBQ sauce, and we had BBQ sandwiches. I made way too much. There's probably 2 pounds left. Can I refreeze this, or should I give it to someone? I don't want to eat it all weekend...I only indulge in fatty foods once a week. |

It might degrade the texture of the meat a bit, though. -- Peter Aitken |

How many days are you planning to refreeze the pork? 2~3 days would be okay, more than that the meat will start to taste bad. You could always give it to the pet if you have left overs, they just love it. Pui Pui |

While the meat is frozen, it takes months to deteriorate. Repeated freezing and thawing is not good for it; particularly the texture, but the time it's held frozen makes almost no difference at all. Note to Mitch: freeze it in several 1/2 pound packages. Bob |
