The question was very straight-forward "Creamy or Crunchy Peanut Butter?" The Ranger |

Those can still be answered: creamy (if you make your own, is it a fine paste) or crunchy (is it a much-coarser grind?) The combo jars also market their product "creamy peanut butter" so there's no bow-out there either. The Ranger |

It's an all purpose, sometimes not fully fitting Chatty Cathy CYA disclaimer. You know, like the radio ads which say how affordable it is for postal workers to buy a new Mercedes ending with "certain restrictions apply". |

That's neither creamy nor chunky, but gritty. maxine, who perfers her pb gritty<G> |

In this instance the CYA disclaimer is just there to fend off the "You should have had this or that answer" remarks. The "mill" at my local Gene's Fine Foods allows you to set the grind very similar to a coffee mill. If I were to "make it myself" with my Cuisinart, it'd be chunky without the extra step of adding chopped peanuts. <shrug> The Ranger |
