How unfortunate, though. Some (though not enough) stores can boost the bottom line by charging a premium for products which customers expect to pay more for. Ready to eat dinner items, for instance. This allows them to keep the price down or the quality up for things like private label canned & frozen goods. Wegman's does a great job with this. |

If you were to get some really sick Mayo, they have a clinic in MN for it. It's appropriately called the Mayo Clinic. |

I too am very picky about mayo and it has to be the Hellmann's stuff too..

I buy many store and Aldi's brand products, but mayonnaise is one of
the few items for which I do notice a difference in taste. I like Duke's the best and buy it exclusively. Now, I will eat another brand or store brand if that is what is offered. It doesn't ruin the dish for me. Tara |

![]() o i agree, store brands are the way for me too. There are things like mayo. Hellmann's has..just that Hellmann's taste I guess.!! LOL There are also store brand's products that i swear are better then brand names - like Kroger chunky cookies better then most brand names and much cheaper. things like plain shoe string fries and canned potatoes or beans r best by the store brand IMHO also.
