My husband said it was safe to use metal tools in it, but all my tools were plastic after years of having T-fal. I don't mind my plastic tools though anyway..lol grown fond of them after using them for nearly 29 years on all of my pans which have always been Silverstone Silverstone. In fact I have found my Silverstone cheap 20 year old or good stuff held up better then any of the old Teflon crap..(which was never nonstick for me!) -- Laura -Sautéed poo is still poo!
