Maple Syrup, or jelly?
Subquestion: does it matter which kind of jelly or are they all equally bad? I will give my answer later; I don't want to bias the results. :-D blAndy |

The jelly is always on my toast, so it doesn't mix with egg until it's in my stomach. The only way to keep syrup away from eggs is to put them on separate plates. -- A husband is someone who takes out the trash and gives the impression he just cleaned the whole house. |

I'm not one of those people who must keep all foods seperate on the plate. It all gets mixed together in your stomach anyway! |

I am not usually the type to keep my foods separate on a plate either, but I do keep maple syrup away from my eggs. I think it is a horrid combination. I have in the past made dessert omelettes, and they were quite good. |

I don't mind the odd bit of maple syrup leaking on to my sausage....but eggs, yuk! elaine |

It has been literally years since I've had a grape jelly omelet. I do put jelly on my toast sometimes when I have an egg. I'd not intentionally put maple syrup on the eggs, but I'd still eat them if it dripped on. -- Ed http://pages.cthome.net/edhome/ |

But then I was on this pancake binge years ago and started to eat my pancakes ranch style, with a couple of fried eggs on top. Now, I really love the combination. I put two eggs cooked over medium onto the stack drizzle it with syrup and then open up the yokes and it all combines together. Tastes change. Paul |

Eggs are part of pancakes and waffles, right? You should be gently poked in the chest with the Julia Child Action Figure. > > blAndy --Bryan |

My problem with maple syrup isn't getting egg in it.... I don't like maple syrup in my egg. Jelly is less of a problem because it doesn't spread like syrup. -- A husband is someone who takes out the trash and gives the impression he just cleaned the whole house. |

Tried my first jelly omelet this morning, having never heard of one until this thread was started. Grape. I liked it. Most likely, I wouldn't have an issue if my eggs were scrambled, because it's a mixing thing. *On* is different from *in*. -- A husband is someone who takes out the trash and gives the impression he just cleaned the whole house. |
