Default Three cheers for Pandora!

Not only is it great to hear from you again, Pandora, but your return has
resulted in some of the most delightful banter on RFC in ages(banter: to
speak to or address in a witty and teasing manner)! Stay with us!

Dobbiamo fare un "Cook-in Italiano." Il punto centrale sarebbe casa
sua, ma casa mia é disponibile, se anche polverata. Stanno facendo un
tetto nuovo accanto a me.

Una volta sono stats "Umbria" qui. Ci conosciamo.

Casa mia é nella alta valle del tevere a Città di Castello. Sono femina.

If we set an Italian cook-in, we won't be missing the NM one.

I am jealous... don't think there are any other South African members of
r.f.c. to have a cook-in with..
I have seen the odd poster, but they are very few and far between, and
they usually just wander in here occasionally from other groups

New Mexico, purported to be the next cook-in site, but we could plan one
really quickly and beat them to it! I recently did a small one with a
young and adorable French chef who came with his girlfriend, a writing
friend of mine, to stay for a few days and play with the wild things of
Umbria. Porchetta, ortica, susine, all very good, but the best was
playing in the kitchen while GF took photos. He was highly decorative.

I know a good cook who spends 6 winter months in SA after 6 summer
months here. I don't remember where their house is, unfortunately. It
isn't in a big city, though.

Pity. But SA is also a pretty big country. Could be anywhere - but if
you remember, or can find out where he/she lives it might be possible to
meat him/her...(pun intended) <wink> Grilling (braai-ing) season is
almost here - yay!

My mind is a sieve about these far-off places at times. I remember it
isn't far from the sea but it isn't Durban.

Anyway, should we have an Italian cook-in, you could come, of course.
You can stay at my house if you don't mind occasionally scratching an
outside cat. Ravenlynne could come too, but she might not want to rip
herself away from all those never-to-be-found expat goodies at her
commissary.

Ohh! Speaking with respect, I don't like very much French cooking.

Porchetta, ortica, susine, all very good, but the best was

....But I like very much Porchetta! My boyfriends went in Rome last week and
he stayed in my house with my mother and my brothers who live there. Well I
told him to buy for me 2 pounds of "Porchetta of Ariccia". It is the best
thing in the world, I think!

Thanks for the invite but I would have to win the lottery first - and
that's going to be a bit difficult. It's not running here at the moment
- the lottery I mean... LOL. So.. only the option left is a miracle.
I love cats too, BTW - so they will get their scritches if said miracle
ever takes place.

LOL. Gets pretty hot here too in summer - which is (officially) a few
months away. Spring is nice, warm but not HOT - and that starts on the
1st of September here - so if you've got some spare air ticket money
floating around - you can hop on a plane and have a cook-in here

Last time I talked to you on rfc, I asked you if you wanted to come to
this cook-in, and you said you did!!!

Tammy is supposed to be coming..at least she says she is. Isn't she

Others are coming... Koko for one... You would recognize a lot of
them from rfc.

Plus, I have homemade limoncello....

Well, it will be held in Albuquerque, NM, on the first weekend of
September.

There is a link to it on the rfc webpage.
http://www.recfoodcooking.com/events/detail.html

I have a little mailing list for the actual planning of it...it is
open to all who are even contemplating it.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NMCook-in/

I know it is short notice, and a very long distance for you...but you
would be very welcome here.

I was named for my father's mother, Felicia, but my parents thought that
people would pronounce it with an "sh" sound instead of "ch" so they
anglicized it to Felice. The first year I was enrolled at a summer camp, the
registrar knew "Felice" as the Italian male name and so assigned me to the
boys' camp!

My maiden name was pronounced somewhat like the Mexican "frijole" so I was
known as the "Happy Bean".

Nice to have you back!

Felice

I like the pic of the sunset in Yahoo pic. I have made a painting like it.
I thank you for the inviting but I don't know if I can subscribe because I
think I have only the time for one NG.
Anyway thank you

That's okay.

It is mainly for the logistics of the cook-in. Who is coming, what
day they are arriving, where to stay, other plans while here, what
equipment, etc.

It's not a regular newsgroup.
