After banning useless appendages, we should then start campaigning for
an end to ironing clothes. The reduction in power demand could save
the world from global warming. ;-)

That comic is flawed, we don't breathe oxygen, we breathe air (air is
only 19pct O2).

Even more so is it flawed. An Earth "day" is only 23 hours 56
minutes, and 48 seconds.

Never mind the tie.

i don't iron anything. just pretend everything is seersucker.

actually, for shirts, i find i get pretty good results hanging them up
directly from the washer and drying on the shower curtain rod. align
the collar, button the neck and squeeze the front placket between
thumb and first two fingers, running down from collar to shirttail.

Correction, O2 is 21% of air. I.E., FIO2 (fraction of inspired oxygen is
21%.) And guess what, another misconception is that the FIO2 changes
with elevation. The barometric pressure of air changes, the FIO2 remains
the same at sea level, 5000, 10000 feet, et cetera.
