Default getting rid of tomatoes

Hello -

First time poster, long time reader.

I don't like tomatoes. Both my boyfriend and I have a sensitivity to
them, too, which is really just serves as a further excuse for not
eating them. However, they're often used in the body of stews and
other recipes--forming the bulky part of the meal and providing a
venue for a more special, or fancier ingredient.

Does anyone have a good idea for replacing tomatoes used in this way?

Thanks!

-John

Obviously not a response to your question, but how old are each of you, and
what sort of sensitivity do you have to tomatoes?
