Ingredients for Almond Cream Ice
1/4 pound blanched and thoroughly dried almonds 1 pint water 2/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla A few grains salt Instructions Grind the almonds through a food chopper that has a food chopper that has a disk for grinding nut butter. Mix the almond paste with the water and salt. Cook in a double boiler till creamy. Cool, add the sugar and vanilla, and freeze. More @: http://www.khrido.com/express-discus...cream-ice.aspx |

Gee, that's a lot of sugar. For 2 cups cream, plus 1 cup milk, I only use 1/2 cup sugar (and 1 teaspoon vanilla). Dee Dee |

Notice that the actual recipe is for "Almond Cream Ice", not almond ice cream as in the subject line. It's a recipe for an "ice", not an ice cream. Kind of an almond sorbet type of thing.
