People problably start losing their body heat as they begin
the process of dying. Hence, cat.

I have a cat that seems to be in tune with us when we're sick. She
will come & lay next to or on top of whoever is not feeling well.

Yep, Persia always knows if I'm ill and sticks to me like glue until I feel
better.

Add more booze or larger doses of pharmaceuticals to your diet.
Neither are working the way you think.

Paste=ink? I've seen that, but doesn't do anything for me. Let us know
how it is, if bravery wins out!

Keep telling yourself that you won't read my next article. It

Exactly! Nine people at the table and I was the only one wanting
to order some! Go figure.

Oh well. It'll wait until our next visit.

No, I don't think so. I think it's actually fine-ground squid made
into noodles. But... I couldn't convince nine other guests to even
consider it so I'll go by myself in the near future and give it a
go.

To STEVE: My killfiling you hasn't stopped YOU from responding like an ass
to my posts so why should Gloria killfiling you make any difference? You'll
still reply to her like the assinine fool you are.

Ranger, I like squid so I'd probably have given it a shot Did it really
hinge on what the other 9 people ordered?

It was very much a communal order. <shrug> I like squid in most
forms so I was willing to give it a try. The rest were more, uhm,
conservative in the dishes ordered.

I saw that last night on the news. Not that strange.
I've read before numerous times about pets that can
sense when a person is sick or dying. They even use
dogs trained to detect cancer. I've had many cats
that seem to know when you are sick. So far none have
indicated that I'm about to croak, thank goodness.

i think diagnosis dogs are working on odors, particularly breath
odors. domestic animals are probably working on behavior, but i'm not
too sure since many cats don't seem to give a shit one way or another.

Our Mia comes running if she hears someone cry, especially DS (who is
now 10). She gets very anxious and tries to comfort him. I need to post
a picture I took recently of her -- she's laying in a large flower pot,
covered in dirt... :-)

Do make sure to check the pot for eggs afterwards...

Back in the 80's my step mom used to work at Steere House. Back then if
a patient died on the 25th of the month, they'd delay reporting so
they'd get paid for a month yet not have to care for the patient.

I guess they've gotten better since.

Hope she's not like the one I saw on tv the other day. She comes and lies
on the bed of a dying patient until they die.
