How about an award for the shortest post to incite a riot? I am still
amazed at the ability of "Congratulations!" to release such an
avalanche of pent-up anger.

Cybercat doesn't resort to that.

That's a Sheldon thing. Personally, I think there are some decent
combinations like parmesean - although I draw the line at cheddar.

I'm about 30 miles from there, and I don't "know" Redondo. Sorry I
can't be of any help, here, today, Andy.

But I'll tell you what...my buddy lives about 10 minutes from Manhattan
Beach, and next time I'm down there and we have some spare time we'll go
hunting. I just emailed him your post and told him to hang onto it so
we can print it to take with us. The worst that can happen is that *we*
have a nice meal somewhere in Redondo.

Good enough?

Not for an FAQ. Newcomers wouldn't want to know that. They'd want to
know the history behind the anger such that a short message could result
in the long thread.

I can remember two fast-food F&C chains from...jeez...the 1970s,
perhaps? Long John Silver's. Arthur Treacher's. One of those still
actully has a shop here in North Hollywood -- or at least it did last
time noticed what was near that intersection. Now I'm curious. I'll
check it out next time drive down that way and report back.

Hollywood, huh? Actually, Arthur Treacher's came up in conversation
a couple of years ago and I was surprised to see they were still
kicking. And that there was one at the mall! It was in the food court
as part of a Nathan's, so I guess they are related now.

That's MY motto no matter where I travel, LOL.
As for deep fried Oreos or Twinkies.. they hold no attraction for me.
But one of those chocolate covered marshmallow cookies (I forget the
exact name..Pinwheels?) sure can cause me to cave....

There are tons of twinkie experiments on the Internet. ;-)
Now that I've learned how to use the film function on my digicam, I may
have to film a microwaved marshmallow! It's cool.

No sound, but stuff like that does not need it. <G>

Deep-fried bacon! The best thing since... hmmm... BEER!!!

Gotta try a deep-fried burger (dredged in Parmesan Regiano cheese and
breadcrumbs, then egg, etc.) with a deep-fried tomato slice, topped with
deep-fried bacon on a bun with a few cold BEERS!!!
