Indeed, I do. It's in MasterCook. Thanks for sharing it then and
reminding me now. We'll try it soon!

I have had both knees replaced and I am running around now with no

Will be keeping everything crossed for your visit to the doc

I could scan in and make a post of the $350 that I sent to you. You say it
doesn't exist? That doesn't matter. I can post it for all to see.
Photoshop (and other much cheaper products) can be as good a friend as
Google. Depending, of course, on ones motives.

You really have grown to be a very hateful person, haven't you?

All you're after here is attention, Christy. No one has to say you
shouldn't buy the ingredients and make this stupid cake. No one says you
have to make anything for a friggin birtday party. Know what? Damsel was
right. I'm not your friend. I'm not her friend either, for that matter. I
don't remain friends wiith people who let themselves be STEPPED ON and
WALKED OVER constantly. Sorry, my friends have a back-bone. My friends
have spines. My friends know how to say NO. And the answer to this
ridiculous birthday party situation is NO. Period.

All this talk about shrimp - think it's going on the menu here today. I
was hoping to grill too, but our weather is also a bit "iffy". Ah, well
will have to do something "indoors"

Stinking weasel? I save that label for anonymous posters who troll
newsgroups and cast unsubstantiated vitriol on people they have never so
much as met. So very brave of you. Do you live with your mommy by any
chance? You act like some petty squabble between two overly emotional
females is worthy of a grand jury investigation. Get a life.

Didn't know they could do that. THANK YOU! We'll bring that up with

Sounds like a great meal. I'm guessing that each part has some significance
from the past 12 years together?

Here's hoping that Crash's hip is easily fixed...ask the doctor about adding
grease fittings. ;-)

Glad to see you back posting again. Don't be a stranger. You add much to

You were drunk? That would explain it. Remember not to drink and post if
you can't handle it.

Are you drunk again tonight? It sure sounds like it. Please consider
having a breathalizer attached to your computer. You won't come off
sounding as much like the bitch/ass-hole that you can be.

The pound cake had significance. The shrimp was significant in that
we both love shrimp and our roommates of 11 months don't touch fish or
seafood. First time we've had it in over a year. We needed to
celebrate! The chicken was so the other guys would have something to
eat. Heehee!

That's what I'm thinking he needs.

That's just Jill. Two steps foreward, three steps back.

Not always, but in the recent few years.

That wasn't me. I have no reason to bring up Damsel in any of my posts.
Why would I?

LOL. Can't trust even a photograph or photocopy these days. Isn't
technology wonderful?

Grown to be? It's been happening for years. Alcohol induced, no doubt.

As for kili, she called me on the phone on Thursday. Apparently she's not
as literal minded as you are, Ophelia. Otherwise she wouldn't be phoning
me, would she? I was ill, had the phone turned off. But Damsel, I haven't
spoken to or posted to/from for at least a year. So you know not whereof
you speak. In other words, shut the f*** up.

She'll attack you as being a "newbie" here, and remind everyone that she's
been here longer than dirt. As if that means anything.

Carol has no idea what she's talking about. I didn't post about her, never
even thought about her since she sent me this email back in March, a portion
of says,

What life? Who said I had a life?? !

This letter is going out to the multitudes. Hope you don't mind.
You'll probably understand as you read the content.

"I'm in a mind-numbing depression, so I haven't kept up with anything
except dire necessities for the past three months. Please forgive me if
you've written and I haven't responded."

Suddenly I'm a pariah. Suddenly I'm accused of posting bad things against
her. Sorry, but she's delusional. I never posted one bad thing about her.
Actually never thought about her. I've been posting more about restaurants
and recipies, never gave a thought to her and Crash. Perhaps that's the
problem... I didn't create enough drama. I don't know, I don't care.

OB Food: Lentil Soup

2 c. lentils
8 c. water
3 slices bacon, diced
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped carrots
2 cloves garlic, minced
2- 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano, crushed

Brown the bacon and place in a deep soup pot. Saute the onion, celery,
carrots and garlic in the bacon drippings. Add to the pot. Rinse lentils;
drain. Place in large soup kettle with the water and seasonings. Cover and
simmer about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Serve with a nice toasted crusty bread.
Serves 6-8. Refrigerate up to 3 days.

Hmmmmm might I suggest you take your own advice. I have never seen such
nasty, vindictive and hurtful posts from anyone other than you. Ok I
believe others may be right in that you drink a lot and don't remember.. but
it excuses nothing!

Indeed she did. I received it too. It would be interesting to hear your
logic as to why it was something to attack her for???????

Kili cut her slack too. Saw both of them on chat about an hour ago.

Never underestimate Kili. :-)

I was supposed to go to sleep, but ended up preparing another Shrimp
Quesadilla instead. <G>

I don't! She seems to be a lovely friend. Look at all the trouble she is
going to for these friends and the cake.

Carol, it is nice to see your name on rfc again.

I hope that Crash's hip problems will be quickly resolved by the visit
to the Orthopedic doctor.

Need I tell you how sad I am to see you and Jill fighting? Seeing two
of my friends squabbling like that is terribly sad for me. ( I hope
you two will quickly hug and make up.

Love to you and Crash, Margaret

She is a truly decent human.
Pray for her please.

Ingredients:

1 cup medium cooked cocktail shrimp or other pre-cooked leftover meat.
(shredded chicken works well)
1/2 cup shredded cheese of choice (I used Monterey Jack)
Light sprinkling of your choice flavoring (garlic powder, chili powder,
onion powder and black pepper)
Maybe some thinly sliced tomatoes, onions, or whatever.
2 flour or corn tortillas.

Arrange meat on top of one tortilla.
Top with the other stuff, (sprinkles, veggies) and top with cheese.

Grill on both sides until the cheese is melted and everything is heated
thru. Alternately, broil, use an electric grill or pre-toast the
tortillas and just nuke it.

It's sort of like a mexican Pizza. ;-)

Slice in Wedges and eat.

Also good topped with additional Sour cream and Guacamole.

I'm sorry that this is causing you pain, but this is truly a case of
"irreconcilable differences," and the best I can do is try not to
react to her tirades.

don't forget the bell pepper slices or the salsa.

take a 8 to 10 inch tortillia sprinkle liberally with cheese of choice,
place some sliced onion, some bell pepper, some pre cooked meat..arrange
the stuff to make it look pretty. put a tortilla on
top...bake/broil/grill it till nicely crisp golden brown on both sides
and all melted and bubbly inside.

serve with sour cream, salsa or what ever

You can accomplish the same thing on top of the stove or by using 1
tortillia and folding it in half to cover the fillings.

kinda like a mexican grilled cheese sandwich and the variations are
legion...

If dry grilling, a bit of butter will work but usually isn't necessary.
