Looks like someone name Johnanon is either a newborn troll or a frustrated

I think it's tough to grill a pre-cooked shrimp -- they're. . . tough.
I make shrimp creole with pre-cooked shrimp but dump them into the sauce
only at the last minute to barely heat.

Here's an app that starts with raw shrimp. Enjoy!

Pancetta Wrapped Shrimp

Recipe By: Calgary Cook-In 2001, posted to r.f.c. by Barb Schaller
8-4-2007
Serving Size: 6
Preparation Time: 0:00
Categories: Appetizers/Nibblers

20 basil leaves
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
20 jumbo shrimp (ed. note: 20 is only enough
if your two!)
10 thin slices lean pancetta sliced in half

Combine the first 11 ingredients - except the basil leaves, in a medium
sized mixing bowl. Add the shrimp and marinate for 30 minutes. Wrap the
shrimp with the pancetta and a basil leaf and secure with a toothpick.
Preheat the barbeque and brush the grids with oil. Grill on high heat, 3
to 4 minutes per side, until the shrimp becomes opaque and curls.
Enjoy!!

----------
Notes: From Samantha Demidavicius' friend Verna.
Made for Rob for his birthday 2006; finding sliced pancetta is a trick;
guys at Brianno's refuse to slice it because they can it can't be done;
I think I used prosciutto this time. Bought the pancetta at Byerly's
first time I did them.

LOL! Is Cub down there? Their colored bells were a buck apiece last
week. I loaded up and diced and froze. Held back 1/3 of each color
and fried them up with some onion; threw in slices of leftover chicken
breast and put them in a flour tort. Chicken fajita? What's the
correct seasoning for that?

Secret family recipe was Betty Crocker's Boston Cream Pie mix. Loved
it. I don't think Betty's doing it anymore, though. Try a Jiffy yellow
cake layer - 8". Bake and slice horizontally by putting a double
thickness of thread around the circumference (leave 8" extra for handle)
and garotte it. Vanilla pudding. Chocolate glaze. You're close enough.

Do you toast the rice a bit in a skillet first? This is good:

-- { Exported from MasterCook Mac }

Brown Rice for Four

Recipe By: George Shirley, posted to r.f.c. by Barb Schaller 8-5-2007
Serving Size: 4

1 1/2 cups brown rice
2 2/3 cups water

For Six:
2 1/3 cups rice (1#)
4 cups water

Rinse the uncooked rice three times and drain well. Put the water on to
boil in a separate saucepan.

While waiting for the water to come to a boil, put two tablespoons of
oil in the bottom of a heavy, tight-lidded sauce pan, then saute the
well-drained rice in the oil while you wait for the water to boil. Do
this over fairly high heat. It has to be stirred constantly, otherwise
it will scorch. This process coats the rice with the oil and evaporates
the water from rinsing. The rice will begin to smell very nutty after a
minute or two.

When the water in the other pan has come to a vigorous boil, pour it
over the rice in the sauce pan. It is very important at this point not
to stir the rice anymore, not even once.

Let it come back up to a vigorous boil, put the lid on, turn it down as
low as you can and cook for 45 minutes. During this time, do not lift
the lid or do anything else to it.

When 45 minutes is up, turn off the heat and let the rice sit
undisturbed for at least 15-20 minutes before serving.

----------
Notes: George Shirley made brown rice this way during my visit in May
2007. I tried it June 3, 2007. I pour the rice into the water -- it's
how my saucepan situation accommodates. I use a little less water than
the original recipe calls for.

1# makes a lot.

With a twist. :-)
Traditionally, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are more limited in scope.

Thanks Barb) hmmmm I am hearing about additions such as salsa etc.

Good to hear from you again, Damsel and my best wishes go to Crash. Getting
old ain't fer sissies. It's peach season here, my neighbor has a real nice
tree and it's peaches with everything. No pie, tho, too many calories.

She oversimplified it. <g>

I think Mexican Pizza is more accurate, just with a "cover" involving a
second tortilla.

Show me the headers where and the post, Ophelia. I can tell you this, I
never posted anything in the last year or so about Damsel and her absence

her in March which stated she was dealing with Crash' medical issues. Now

Salsa, aka picante sauce.
Hm. I tend to cheat and just purchase Pace, but picante sauce has
applications from being a simple chip dip to being a major meal addition.

Like quesadillas, there are a number of variations:

Blow *this*!

You prove that it's NOT Jill. Or you can take her word for it
and be made an ass of like all the other gullible people who've
sided with her over the years.

Your choice.

I'd rather side with her than an unknown troll like you.
I've never seen you before. I've no idea who or what you are.

At least Jill is a regular poster and contributor.

Better than an unknown like you with rectocranial inversion syndrome.

At least have the balls to post with your regular id instead of hiding

Now's a good time for me to ask: Have you or has anyone heard of an adage
regarding fish/milk-cheese?

I find it hard to get out of my head and end up not putting cheese on fish
because of it. Am I alone out there?

I'll use American processed cheese food product (if you can call that
cheese), for making tuna melts (if you can call canned tuna, fish.

That was the Reader's Digest Condensed definition. A grilled cheese
sandwich doesn't have to be "just" a grilled cheese sandwich, O.
I know them to be one tort, folded; I often see recipes involving two
torts.

Dee Dee I make fish pie. Milk is in the white sauce and cheese is on the
potato topping.

A tort is a grievance.
A torte is a cake.
In the sentence "I know them to be one tort, folded," a tort is a typo
for sort.

I read Melba's "tort" as being short for tortilla

Come to think of it, that does make more sense. (But "sort" worked too,
sorta.)
