Then they go on to have a competition with 'fish pie.' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKEPPw5Jd2M (Almost 10 minutes) I'd never heard of fish pie previously. James May obviously drinks a lot throughout. So fish pie takes on a new meaning to me. :-))) Glad you mentioned it. Thanks. |

To me, a quesadilla can go from there; i.e., having any little addition of veggies, chorizos, shrimp, hot sauces, anything you can think of. The main difference between it and a taco and burrito is that a taco is folded over, a burrito is rolled up, a quesadilla 2 tortillas are used, one on bottom, one on top; but a quesadilla is grilled in some fashio. Jill has a heart of gold. And the quick temper of a Scotch lassie. As for Carol, she has had a couple of really difficult years and still has. I admire her for her ability to cope and keep on making the best of what life is dealing her right now. If I ever need a friend, I would not hesitate to ask either one to lend me a shoulder to cry on. Or anything else. Yesterday should have been a day of celebration, because our Damsel was back. This was not a good Welcome. You are right. Left to their own devices, Carol and Jill would have exchanged a couple of words, then would have laughed at the whole silly dispute and decided that their friendship was too valuable to just toss aside. I have no doubt that two such bright women will lose little time and straighten out this misunderstanding. |

I have the replica of the OLD Betty Crocker cookbook, so I probably do have the recipe. Also have one from Taco-Man that looks awfully good. Thanks much! Carol |

No, I didn't toast the rice first. Never thought of it. But I'll use this recipe next time I make brown rice. Thanks so much! Carol |

But here is a recipe of a basic salsa. google salsa recipes to get a better idea @@@@@ Now You're Cooking! Export Format Alan's Pico De Gallo Salsa none 2 or 3 serrano or jalapeno chiles,; stems & seeds removed, 1 or 2 bell peppers (red, green, yellow); your choice chopped 1 large red onion, finely chopped 4 medium roma tomatoes, finely chopped 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped; or more 1/4 bunch finely chopped cilantro 1 juice of 1 fresh lime Finely chop the garlic and cilantro. Chop the other ingredients a lot or a little. To make a chunky to your choice Salsa. Squeeze the juice of the lime over the combined ingredients. Be sure hot peppers are seeded and the white parts has been removed. A little salt doesn't hurt. Notes... juicer tomatoes work well too. If no hot peppers use hot sauce instead and add more coloured bell peppers. Be sure to wash hands well after handling hot peppers. Let the salsa rest in the fridge a couple of hours to over nite to let the flavours mix well. Good with corn chips or on fajitas or tacos...Even ok on pasta. Lemon juice or vinegar can replace the lime . But fresh lime juice is the best. Coloured bell peppers make it look nicer but green peppers are cheaper and work well too. Hi all,
This is a last ditch effort to get another post through. I think I may have reached my Google limit, since the last two posts I attempted didn't make it through. Thank you to everyone for their wecome backs, their congratulations, and their best wishes for Crash's health. For our anniversary, Crash gave me a mirrored tray to put my cologne on, and he asked me for a couple packs of cigarettes. ROFL! I regret now not accepting Jill's congratulations graciously and moving on. She's a troubled person, and I made things worse. I'm fortunate to have good medical insurance so I can receive and maintain proper mental health care. To those who are hoping that we'll patch things up and go on our merry ways, it's not going to happen. I wrote to her over a year ago and told her gently that I simply can't have her level of negativity in my life. It's not healthy for me. At the time, she said she understood. I've had to take this action with others as well. She was not singled out. I feel blessed to have so many of you as people who care about me. At this point, I'll just watch this thread as it dies out, and will contribute recipes when they're needed, or when I feel the desire to share some. Love and light, Carol |

I just love the way everyone here presumes to know so much about my alcohol consumption. In fact, you don't know a damn thing about it. And I have to repeat, why would I have posted anything about Damsel? And, BTW, no one has bothered to show me this alleged post. Jill |
