Default Campari bugs me ?

Suppose this isn't the worst thing I could drink.
Campari and soda. Get your appetizers and cocktails all in one.

I prefer mine with a twist of lemon.

I prefer spritz, or macchiato, or bicicletta: just fill three quarters of
the glass with white sparkling wine, then fill it to the rim with campari.
Spritz is Venice's name for this concoction.

Oh! You know Campari? We often make a drink with it: "Negroni" (1/3 Campari;
1/3 gin; 1/3 red Martini). It's very good with appetizers, but a little
strong!

LOL, Negroni! Ever tried the "sbagliato" (wrong) version? I don't remember
which was the difference...

Many of us know campari. I drank campari and soda when I was in my
20's, but not anymore.

No I have never tried "Sbagliato". perhaps is only Campari and Martini
without gin. Or Campari and gin with red wine in place of Martini.
I don't know

Cane sugar: About half of the nation's cane sugar (but none of its
beet sugar) is whitened using bone char, a powder made by burning
animal bones. All the bone char is removed before packaging, but some
vegans might still have a problem with sugar that was produced using
an animal product. Most, but not all, cane sugar is labeled as such,
so something called just "sugar" probably came from beets.

I prefer Pimm's 1 to Campari.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pimm's

There are some certain individuals who will go unnamed who would
rather ingest live beetles than dead beets.

Friendly's red raspberry ice cream contains beets.

No, but I'll give it a try. Do you prefer it with gin or would vodka
be better?

Negroni

Ingredients:
- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz Campari
- Garnish: Orange Twist

That sounds like something I'd like to try.

Oh my, but this is my favorite drink. I love it, but it is very, very
potent. Don't forget a piece of orange peel, twisted.

Gin, definitely. It is just not the same with vodka. Mix up a whole bunch
and keep it in a bottle. Then chill with ice, strain into a glass.

Yes, I also like Negronis. Pandy,if you ever come and visit with me I
will pour you many Negronis. ;=} One of my Campari favorites is the
following:

1/3 Campari
1/3 red Martini
1/3 sparkling water

Pour all three over ice and stir. Add a lemon twist, after rubbing the
rim of the glass with it, and top with a brandy float. Years ago, in
San Francisco, this was known as a "Campari Cocktail" but I have also
seen it called an Americano. Back then, Campari was called "Italian
Coca-Cola".

Salute,

Yes! It's also my favourite, but very very strong. And yes! I have forgotten
orange! vWhen I don't have it I use lemon (in summer).

You just pour a very small amount of brandy very carefully onto the
drink so it floats on top and doesn't mix in. Pouring it over the back
of a spoon held just at the drink's surface is a good technique for
this. It gives the drink a little extra zing.
