Aleppo chile flakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! Bay leaves. You can buy large bags very inexpensively. I also keep the Turkish powdered bay leaf around for convenience. Albanian rubbed sage. Tellicherry peppercorns. If you're a real salt freak, I love the French grey sea salt, which I like to eat straight on Summer days like today when I've just mowed a lawn and crave the salt. But for sure, Aleppo chile flakes. Also, check out the other chile peppers. --Bryan |

The smoky sounds interesting. I'll try to go next week and redeem it. Did you get the coupon? Lou |

I love their Adobo seasoning (good in rice, beans, guacamole, and sprinkled on pork and chicken). The Fox Point seasoning and Pasta Sprinkle are faves of ours, also. If you like curry powder, they have some tasty ones. We especially like the Vindaloo seasoning. Mary |

My wife doesn't like hot food, and the rest of us do, so adding at the table works best for us. |

I got both the 4/S Smoky and the Spicy; both are good but I do like the
Smoky a little bit better. I also got the new Tuscan Sunset; it's good but not great; don't think I will buy it again. One of my favorite blends is the Bavarian Seasoning. Carol Our life may not always be the party we would have chosen, but while we are here, we may as well dance! |

I met BKeith Ryder and another ex rfc'er there, and BKeith ordered for us. One dish was something with shredded potatoes in it. I think that is one of their specialties. Another had spinach in it... And to top it off, BKeith brought one of his fabulous cakes: it was the ex rfcer's birthday. I think if you search far enough back on Chowhound or DonRockwell, you might find out what the specialties are. And I think there was a thread long ago on eGullet... Christine |
