Default The Joy of Not Cooking

I usually love to cook, but business has been wild and the heat is just too
much.

So it's been salads, cottage cheese and blueberries, watermelon, canteloupe,
and the occasional meal out.

That said, I am ready for another whole sirloin tip roast, if only someone
would put them on sale.

It's water person...no water boy.

I was wondering 'what the h*** is he talking about'
ObFoodReply: BBQ for breakfast!? Did you have a beer with that also?

I don't have much of a choice as I have another person to consider. :-)
I'd cook a bunch of frozen meals if I was alone, or just eat out cheap.

I'd rather cook than be alone!

~So it's been salads, cottage cheese and blueberries, watermelon,
canteloupe,

Clearing out the fridge before vacation, made some chicken salad soup.
Chopped up the last onion, scallions, garlic cloves, carrots and
celery, found a couple of quarters of peppers, sauteed the daylights
out of them all, and then threw in the chicken with water to cover.
teaspoon of salt, teaspoon Mrs dash couple shakes paprika, threw in
the leftover gemelli and marinara sauce (chunky), and dang was that
good.

Finished off the last of the tuna-bean pate, made another loaf of
bread so I don't have to do it when I get home (it's in the freezer).
and then there was the yogurt.

I don't know what I did wrong--maybe it was drying the container with
the dish towel, but when I took it out this morning, I had yogurt
strings rather than the custardy consistancy I ususally get. Threw it
in my hot cereal anyhow, nuked it to a fare-thee-well, and haven't
died yet.

Should probably chuck the rest and buy fresh when I get home and start
anew. That way I won't have to deal with whatever grows in there
while we're gone.

Tuna-bean pate? That sounds really interesting. Is it something that you
just put together haphazardly, or is there a specific recipe. Do you or can
you serve as a slather?
Thanks.
