Default Anyone have a minute to spare?

My mother is in the hospital and while it doesn't appear to be serious she's
81 years of age. Anyone who has time to chat that doesn't involve elderly
health, that would be great And for the rest of you... however you send
well wishes would also be appreciated. Thanks for those.

rfc chat via the web:

or on IRC client:

Server: irc.penguinpowered.ca
Port 6667
channel ID: #rec.food.cooking

I honestly don't understand your post... you're posting to announce
that your elderly mother is in the hospital but it's not serious but
you want to talk but not about your elderly mother... what am I
missing here... but sure, I'll send well wishes to you, Jill.

I truly don't understand your post.

How about, I'd like best wishes for her and some folks to chat with but I'd
really rather not dwell on "oh, what tubes did they put in" and stuff like
that. Just a little comfort like, what did you kill for dinner. Stuff like
that.

Me too. I think Jill's just worried and confused.

Jill, I wish you and your mom all the best. I hope your mom has a quick
and painless recovery.

Thank you, Margaret. She's been subjected to some rather undignified tests.
But she'll be fine. They have her on medications and she may go home this
afternoon. Yesterday after her tests she said she chowed down on 3
scrambled eggs, a some fried potatoes and some toast. She was starving!
Heheh She doesn't eat a lot; I cannot picture her eating 3 eggs let alone
anything else to go with it. She sounds in fine spirits for all the
indignities. Makes me want to go make breakfast

There was an article in the newspaper this morning, saying positive
things about having sex as we age.
