Curious about the MCINL response to question 4, "What kind of fridge do
you have". Not sure what other options there are, walk in cooler? Under
counter top access bar type?

I was interested that I am very ordinary...right with majority
on practicall all questions. Tho' I could get the large pizza
box in, a lot of rearrangement (I won't say reorganization!)
would be required.

That would fall under "Separate refrigerator and freezer units".

The list of options was pretty comprehensive and the only other choices
I can think of are the commercial units I noted.

Implied, but not detailed. I have three (all different styles) plus a
freezer.

What does "peek into the fridge" mean? Looking for a snack or
deciding what to make for a meal?

MCINL means if your choice is not listed above, check it.... even if
you don't own a fridge, check it.

I call mine the Hobart.

40 cubic ft., double glass front doors. It lives in the Sun room next to
the chest freezer which is almost as large.

I have a standard freezer above frige unit in the Kitchen.

As per my last post, I have 3.

The common one in the kitchen and the big separate ones in the Sun room.

I thought her questions were comprehensive enough.

Yeah, like looking for a snack! I originally had it starting, "Between

Since we're elaborating, we grew up with a refrigerator with a freezer
inside. The freezer section above had a spring loaded door that would fold
down to access freezer items.

You still see these in the mini "dorm-room" refrigerators.

I think this quote from Caroline Rhea is appropriate he

I constantly walk into a room and I don't remember why. But
for some reason, I think there's going to be a clue in the fridge.

Perfect! LOL!

When I was a mad toddler, as soon as I could open the fridge, I'd open it
and stare in, then close it and then walk around the dining room and living
room and back into the kitchen and open it again and stare in.

I didn't need or have a clue. (smile)

Somehow, to me, it was the meaning of life!

Thanks,

Sub-poll:
How many of you still hear your mother intoning: "Don't stand there
with the door open!!" every time you retrieve something?

I still rush to find or stash stuff in the fridge - that tape never
stops playing.

I stash a carton of eggs on the far side of a shelf on the hinge side
- I cut off the top and merely slide it out when I wanna grab an egg
or two. Cuts down on door-open time and seems to take up less room
than an egg caddy.

I picked the wrong answer then; it should have been 4 times a day or
so. I thought you meant including the times you open it to grab meal
fixings. :P

You mean on those really hot days way back when your Mom's house

And apparently leaving them in the original carton is better for the
eggs than to be moved to some sort of caddy.
Otherwise, I don't worry about rushing to get in and out of the fridge
as I usually know what I'm there for, so I feel efficient enough without
worrying about speed.

What BS! Who thought that one up? I bet it was some fumble fingered
nincompoop who either punctured or dropped eggs on a regular basis.
