Default Cookin' has started and Christine is being mean

We are up and running.
My DH, Edrena, Patricia Hill from rec.food.recipies is here.
Christine is being mean to Edrena because she made Christine leave The
Spanish Table only after an hour in the store.
I am being nice to everyone. (*^;^*)

You're always nice. I think you should be mean to Christine, she won't
expect it, and she'll probably leave Edrena alone.

The lightining strikes are getting closer and fiercer so we'll say bye
for now. Don't want to fry my new laptop.
Hope Christine has pleanty of candles for us to finish cooking by.
By the way, she's still being mean to Edrena. She called her a
scullery maid. Edrena prefers sous chef.

I'm staying out of it.

LOL!

You should be proud of it!

The fact that you have TPR *almost* makes me regret I had to pass this

So... have y'all started drinking yet? We sure drank a lot of wine at
the Texas cook-in's. We just wanted to taste it, that's all.

Arri,
I understand_most_of what she has.
Not that anyone has to justify anything to anyone.
Does any ONE person need this many measuring cups. This is what did
it. I opened this cupboard to get a measuring cup and this is what I
saw that made me yell "holy crap" and set Christine into giggling.

(Thank goodness I live in a 5th wheel or I'd probably have this many
also.)

Hm. I have that many (two sets) but mine are plastic.

I use one of the largest (of the pair) for scooping cat food.

Koko is now wandering around the kitchen muttering to herself..."Barb
is being mean to me"...

You upset her so much that she is completely forgetting to stuff her
dates.

Dates are a LOT better in bed if you feed/stuff them properly.

Your new laptop has a battery and I'm assuming you're using a wireless

Default Cookin' has started and Christine is being mean

It's Sunday afternoon, so far we have Buffalo Curry bubbling away on
the stove. We're having that with rice. Christine's friend Megan is
making it. She said when she's made it she's gotten marriage
proposals, and no leftovers.
Edrena brought her Bread and Butter pickles that have a great zing to
them. Nice and spicy. Also she brought Garlic Basil pickles. These are
my favorite. She also brought bluebarb jam, nectarine jam, blackberry
jam, habanero pique, fancy cut pickled beets with red wine, pickled
cauliflower with red peppers, pickled asparagus, pickled peaches,
pickled okra with Texas honey. Commercial green olives stuffed with
lemon, black Spanish olives and pickled walnuts.

Christine made chicken faux gras, upside down tomato tart, pimento
cheese, Aztec chocolate ice cream and marinated chicken paella.

Chuckie, Megan's mom made Scottish shortbread

I made chorizo filled dates wrapped in bacon, almost but not quite
Hattie's goat cheese torte, figs filled with gorgonzolla cheese
drizzled with citrus honey, herb salad with feta cheese, sprinkled
with a mix of pine nuts, pepits and almonds and kalamata olive with
homemade balsamic vinaigrette. I brought a rack of lamb but I think
that'll go into Christine's freezer. There's too much food.

Patricia Hill brought blueberry cherry pie.

We just had 3 great looking hunks of masculine pulchritude show up.
They are making chocolate mousse, but they are so good looking they
don't have to make anything.

Sorry, gotta go show these cuties...I mean youn men around.

Well! I am impressed! I'm glad I watched the video before

Boston joined you in spirit. I made a salsa rojas with anchos, a mess o'
black beans, and two sets of enchiladas, one cheese and one chicken. These
were preceded and followed by Margaritas. I used only a few of my dozen or
so measuring cups, Koko.

Burp.

Default Cookin' has started and Christine is being mean

We are just now winding down. The hunks just left.

We are are now into the limoncello and cleaning up. Well, the scullery
maid Edrena is. Christine is sipping and supervising and I'm posting
so I hope Edrena doesn't catch on any time soon she's doing all the
work. Uh Oh she just caught me. Gotta go help.

housewares retailing for many years. There is an accumulation of
samples, markdowns and just plain acquisitiveness in her cabinets!

But I do know what all those things are for...

What is TPR? Those lads are cute, Koko. They deserved 5's. Ones are
insulting to such excellent entertainment!
