Your nephews are just adorable. You have to love any kid who likes
sushi. LOL Good for him!

Ain't that the truth!
At this point in time, there are very few things the boys won't eat and
they never force the issue. Bell peppers are one and so far, onions
another. I still don't care for bells myself, nor raw onions. Onions
have to be cooked.

Thanks Becca. :-)
I'll pass that on to my sister.

Dyson actually gets exited about sushi!

My 6 year old grandson is still a *very* picky eater, but he has loved
sushi since he was 2. He even eats the sushi with fish eggs on it.
Go figger.

Andy the only time I measure anything really is when I make my bread. I
don't make cakes any more but if I did I would measure. Everything else I
go by when it looks like and I know what flavours go together.

Good start... They both adore sushi themselves and are just going really
slow with the boys. They more or less let them try anything they want,
except Wasabi of course!

Funny about Bell Peppers. Dad said he used to really like them stuffed
and asked me for them once and gave me mom's recipe. Told me how he
wanted them fixed so I did make them for him.

He ate the stuffing and ate only a couple of bites of the pepper. Maybe
I did not do it right but stuffed Bell Peppers are kinda a no-brainer.
We tried them again later, just sliced and lightly stir fried and he
asked me to not bother making them again.

Makes me wonder if maybe they have gone the way of tomatoes. Just not
the same as they used to be?

My daughter saw some made up stuffed peppers in the grocery store and said
she wished she could eat them. Due to our food allergies, we can't do the
typical recipe with egg and cheese in it. I reminded her that she never
liked stuffed peppers and she replied, "So! Tastes CHANGE you know." So I
made some. She and my husband both ate several of them, careful picking out
all the stuffing and leaving the peppers. Seems I am the only one who likes
peppers in this house.

But when I said the next time I made them I would just bake the stuffing,
both protested and said they wouldn't be the same without the peppers.

<lol>

Use the same stuffing and make stuffed tomatoes.

That works very well!

This puzzled me. I have never seen stuffed peppers using egg and
cheese in it, certainly not what I think of as the typical recipe.

Typical to me is ground beef with spices and rice and tomato
sauce.

Many adults cannot handle that stuff. This one included. <G>
