sf, you're really making it hard on yourself. The easy way is to use the
link that Christine gave way back when. It will take you straight to the
rfc chatroom, period.

http://www.penguinpowered.ca/~vexorg...d.cooking.html

Log in - it will call you "Anonymous". Type /nick (sf, or whatever name
you want to use). You're there. Period. Don't bother with all the other
"stuff".

Yes - check my post of a couple of minutes ago to sf. Good luck, Goomba.
We have Christine Dabney to thank for this easy route to the chatroom.

No, we have to thank Crash's friends for the easy link to get to the
chatroom. Not me.
I only posted about it, and told people to go there, that it would
make getting to the chat room easier.

Actually, Nancy Young and all the others in the channel are probably
cursing me, that I posted the link. A ton of people started showing
up, right after I posted that link...
We used to have such a nice sleepy little channel.....

Just kidding folks...it is nice to see and talk with you all.

Yeah, it was fun. It's quiet sometimes, sometimes it's roudy, you
takes your chances. Wouldn't it be funny if people were still
coming around when Jill gets back from her trip? She'll fall off
her chair.

I don't do irc anymore. But, there are several irc clients other than mirc.
I used to use pirch, but the originator got tired of maintaining and it
faded away. If you google for "irc client", you should find all kinds of
info. Here's one that look pretty good:

http://www.newircusers.com/clients.html

You might check your browser, also. Some include an irc client. For
example, the Mozilla web browser for linux includes a built-in irc client.

Thanks, it was too late last night to email Michael. I'll
email both of you tomorrow because I'm going to a wedding in
a couple of hours.

thanks, that's got a few - so I'll mosey over for a peek at
them (I hope they have some screen shots).

I'll drop by the Netscape/Mozilla ng and ask what they
recommend. I use Firebird, which is browser only - to my
knowledge.

No one was "home" last night by the time I finally looked
in. Will drop by and try to say Hi before I hop into the
shower and take off to that wedding.
