Fran's Chocolates? Others?

Has anyone ever had these caramels?

They've won some awards.

I saw a factory tour on TV of their luxury caramels assembly line and they
looked unique and delicious.

I think the Checkerboard Caramels Collection giftbox would make a great gift.

Opinions? Other chocolate makers? I'll happily take names.

Thanks,

Andy

See's of course! http://www.sees.com/

They are known for chocolate.... but my favorite is their peanut
brittle. Buy Summertime, when you can find it - chocolate inside &
ground hazelnuts outside (the only way I'll eat hazelnuts).... and
it's only available during the summer. ;) Hence the name. Some
things still *are* seasonal! LOL

Asher's is pretty darn good, Gertrude Hawk is ok.

See's chocolates are my absolute favorite. I like the ones with ground
hazelnuts... who am I kidding, I like all of them. Since I am dieting,
I will not click on that link.<g>

sf,

See's of course! But I'm not buying this gift for myself. It's a gift
(BRIBE) for my best bud's wife, when I visit next month. I don't know if
she even has a sweet tooth, so I'll play it safe with chocolate dipped
caramels. That's safe, right?

Thanks,

Andy

Janet,

I have never tried anything like this type of treat. I thought, they
wouldn't do that unless it was a delicious taste contrast OR flavor boost
OR both.

Thank you, MaryMc!

I got that impression just watching. :)

Well, if "she" was me.... an assortment of See's fruit flavored
truffles would make me your best friend (at least until I finished the
box).

Fran's is wonderful stuff. Their caramels are to die for. We will
occasionally stop into the shop in University Village (Seattle) and get
a truffle or other delicacy. We've never been disappointed.

Cindy, who lives 2 miles from the University Village shop
