I got this recipe from food blogger.
http://steamykitchen.com/blog/2007/0...-latino-wings/ This is one of many I've gleaned from her blog that I'm going to try. Marinating chicken. Obviously I didn't use wings. I doubled the recipe so I'd have some extra for a dipping sauce. http://i24.tinypic.com/dzfm93.jpg After marinating for an hour, these babies went on the grill. http://i20.tinypic.com/bjit5y.jpg Smokin' away :-) smells so good. http://i22.tinypic.com/9qvhcm These are mine. Your's are in the mail. http://i24.tinypic.com/fcv5og.jpg Fabulous wings. Spicy smoky with sweet in the background. A nice blending of flavors. @@@@@ Now You're Cooking! Export Format Chino-Latino Wings appetizers, poultry 2 lbs chicken wings sesame seeds 2 chipotle peppers + 1 tablespoon adobo sauce; see note 1/4 cup hoisin sauce 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 lime, squeezed 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 teaspoons grated garlic; use microplane Combine marinade ingredients in blender or food processor. Puree until thickened. Taste. If you want spicier, add another chili and another tablespoon of adobo. Press down on wings to flatten as much a possible. Marinate chicken wings for at least 1 hour. prep time: 3 minutes; cook time 20 minutes Note: each can should have about 10 peppers. Only I'd add the sesame seeds to the marinade so they cook along with the bird. Thanks, Andy |

As I was looking at the picture on her blog. I saw ginger in the picture along with the other ingredients. I didn't notice this before. I think the 2 teaspoons grated garlic; use microplane should read ginger. That's what I get for skimming the story. koko --- http://www.kokoscorner.typepad.com updated 9/13 "There is no love more sincere than the love of food" George Bernard Shaw |
